Marie-Claude Pietragalla

Marie-Claude Pietragalla, née à Paris, est une figure emblématique de la danse française. Entrée en 1973 à l’École de Danse de l’Opéra de Paris, elle est engagée dans le corps de Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris six ans après. En 1990, elle est nommée Danseuse Étoile sous la direction de Patrick Dupond à l’issue de sa prise de rôle de Kitri dans le Don Quichotte de Rudolf Noureev. En 1998, elle est nommée Directeur Général du Ballet National de Marseille et de son École Nationale Supérieure de Danse par le ministère de la Culture, la ville de Marseille et la région PACA.

En 2000, Marie-Claude Pietragalla est la première danseuse à se produire à L’Olympia dans Don’t Look Back, solo mythique chorégraphié par Carolyn Carlson qui tournera pendant 10 ans dans le monde entier.

  • Marie-Claude Pietragalla est en 2014, membre du Jury international de la 40e édition du Festival du cinéma américain de Deauville sous la présidence de Costa-Gavras.
