Catherine Rétoré

Née dans l’univers du théâtre, fille de Guy Rétoré, Catherine a suivi ses études au Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique de Paris. Elle y rencontre Jean Pierre Romond, trompettiste qui a une classe de maîtrise respiratoire. Au théâtre, elle travaille avec de nombreux metteurs en scène : Patrice Chéreau (Peer Gynt), Jacques Lassalle (Raymond Carver), Philippe Adrien (Le Roi Lear), Jean-Louis Benoît (La Villegiature), Christophe Perton (Labiche), Anne-Laure Liegeois (Embouteillage), Aline César (Aphra Behn), Denis Llorca (Roméo et Juliette), etc. Au cinéma, elle travaille avec Alain Tanner, Robin Davis, Caroline Huppert et Philippe Arthuys. Musicienne, flûtiste, elle écrit et met en scène un spectacle musical sur la vie de la pédagogue Nadia Boulanger « 36, rue Ballu, Nadia Boulanger ». Elle enseigne la pratique respiratoire physiologique dans de nombreux établissements, dont l’ESAD Paris. Elle dirige l’Ecole de la Respiration Sandra-Romond.

Catherine Rétoré est venue à ARTA en 2021 pour animer le stage « De la respiration à l’interprétation »
